Disney’s monorail, or ‘Highway in the Sky’ is a terrific way to get around.   The only drawback is that monorails don’t stop at every hotel. This means that if you have your heart set on taking it, and you’re staying at, say, Wilderness Lodge, you may end up taking a boat to the Magic Kingdom.   Other than that, I highly recommend the monorails to almost everyone.  They are very safe, although the utmost care should be taken when helping little children on and off.  Otherwise, they just might lose a shoe; it may fall onto the track.  The monorails also offer spectacular views, and narration to tell you what’s what outside your window.  Occasionally, you have to switch monorails to get to your desired destination, but that shouldn’t turn you against them.  After all, the same is true for buses and boats.  The only thing that it is not true for is walking (unless you have to switch shoes)!  Here’s a list of the hotels that the monorails run from.  Please let me know if I’ve missed anything.
